OGDEN, Utah (April 26, 2021) – The organizers from the Ogden Pioneers Days Foundation have announced the return of its renowned Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Hall of Fame Rodeo, which will take place from July 20-24 at the historic Ogden Pioneer Stadium on 668 17th Street, marking its comeback in 2021 after being cancelled last year as part of Utah’s COVID-19 public gathering protocols.

Consistently ranked as one of the top outdoor rodeos, the PRCA is an annual outdoor event that showcases the top riders from across the country and draws more than 30,000 spectators. Celebrating its 87th year in 2021, the PRCA is a key activity and part of the multi-week heritage event of Ogden Pioneer Days, a celebration to commemorate the 1934 settlement of the City of Ogden.

“We are pleased to bring back several aspects of Pioneer Days, especially the PRCA Rodeo, because it is a summer family tradition and an economic catalyst for our surrounding businesses,” expressed Alan Hall, Chairman, Ogden Pioneer Days Foundation. “I also extend my appreciation to our local city and county officials, including Ogden City Mayor Mike Caldwell, and our local health department for their ongoing support as we re-introduce this annual festival back into the community in a safe, responsible and exciting way.”

In addition to the PRCA Hall of Fame rodeo, there will be several special events to recognize the legacy of the pioneer families that settled in the valleys of the Wasatch Mountains, including:
